Flexible Vinyl Noise Barriers
Flexible vinyl noise barriers are designed for noise isolation and containment. They are limp dense mass materials which are ideal for stopping noise transmission through them. There are three fundamental types of vinyl noise barriers:
Non-reinforced ....These are the least expensive and are used where they can be easily supported to prevent tearing and stretching. They are often woven between wall studs in staggered stud construction or attached directly to the stud faces in back of the sheetrock layer in conventional construction.
Reinforced....These contain an internal nylon mesh to minimize tearing and stretching. They are hung to create an instant containment wall around noisy equipment, etc.
Clear....Used where light and/or visual access is required. Strip doors.
All of the above can be easily cut, stapled, nailed, or grommeted for easy installation and are easy to clean.
